The Drop Da Biscuit podcast series was launched in 2020. Too many underground artists of all generations do not receive the full recognition and respect that their contributions deserve. Drop Da Biscuit provides a platform for musicians, artists, DJs and other creatives to give a personal account of their individual journeys. Lovers of good music stand on the shoulders of the foundation artists and I feel it’s important to hear direct testimonies of their experiences.
The little details, accounts and quirky stories about an artist’s musical journey that you won’t find on Wikipedia are really fascinating. Interesting personal insights, how they got started, being mentored by legends, unplanned events that led to an opportunity and of course the general school of hard knocks that is the music industry. Emerging artists can be inspired and learn a great deal from their reflections.
